Ramsbury Cocktails for Summer

A striking English floral installation with refreshing cocktails made with ingredients grown on the Ramsbury Estate in Wiltshire.

The seasonal cocktail menu - created by Giovanni Spezziga (General Manager of Dalloway Terrace and The Coral Room) in partnership with Scotch+Limon and Crucible - will offer a selection of summer serves, all priced at £13. Available for guests to enjoy on tap are The Bell, named after the Estate’s award-winning pub, featuring delicate flavours of Apricot, Black Olive and Rosemary mixed with Ramsbury Single Estate Gin, and The Estate Spritz, boasting Green Apple, aromatic Basil and sweetness from a Strawberry garnish, as well as Ramsbury Single Estate Vodka. There will also be a wider cocktail menu, including Ramsbury Reviver, Miss Dalloway Fruit Cup and Wiltshire Snapper, also incorporating Ramsbury Single Estate Gin and Vodka.

NEW FOOD MENU FOR DALLOWAY TERRACE

New for summer 2019 at Dalloway Terrace is all-day brunch which will be served from 11:00am – 5:00pm daily as part of the À La Carte Lunch menu.

Diners can choose from light and healthy options such as Sea Bass Ceviche, Rainbow Acai Bowl, Avocado & Grilled Plum Tomato, and Burrata. Guests are also able to indulge in Dalloway’s much-adored Buttermilk Pancakes, served with either Berries & Lemon Curd of Bacon & Maple Syrup.

Dalloway Terrace’s seasonal dinner menu includes tempting options full of ingredients sourced from the English countryside and beyond... including Dorset Crab on Toast, Honey-roasted Beetroot Salad and Warm Artichoke Salad. Also on offer are options such as Wild Mushroom Risotto, Shallot & Thyme Tarte Tatin or - a dish synonymous with summer days spent on England’s coastline - Fish & Chips complete with Pea Puree and Tartare Sauce.

Guests at Dalloway’s Summer Estate are also invited to enjoy dessert options including Apricot & Amaretti Tart, Summer Pavlova or Peach Melba Coupe. The dessert menu also includes a wine pairing for each sweet treat and offers guests the choice of British cheeses served with Tomato & Red Onion Chutney, or a selection of ice creams and sorbets.

Dalloway Terrace – described by Vogue as “One of London’s most Instagrammable restaurants”- will be offering Londoners a taste of summer in the English countryside in partnership with Ramsbury, maker of single-estate spirits Ramsbury Gin & Vodka. From 24th July, guests will be treated to a two-month takeover at the renowned Terrace, complete with a striking English floral installation and refreshing cocktails made with ingredients grown on the Ramsbury Estate in Wiltshire.

 A floral installation made from silk daisies, larkspur and delphiniums, in a nod to the wild flowers found on the Ramsbury Estate in Wiltshire, courtesy of master florist Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart. Even the wood that the bar is made from comes from the estate to really showcase Ramsbury’s sustainable, closed-loop, quality-focused approach to production.

Spring Wine List with our Master of Wine Anne McHale

Irish Master of Wine, Anne McHale, is one of only 382 people globally to hold this prestigious title. She has been in charge of wine selections at Dalloway Terrace since 2016, and works closely with our sommelier Fabio dos Santos to update the list seasonally, making sure there is a wine for every palate and to match every dish. Here she tells us a little more about what’s new on the list for spring…

Spring has finally sprung, and what better way to enjoy it than with a leisurely meal on the beautiful Dalloway Terrace.

In our new white line-up, you’ll find the juicy Verdejo from El Quintanal in Spain, the silky Soave from Pieropan in Italy and the mineral and intensely refreshing Assyrtiko from Santo in Greece. If you’re looking for a special treat, you’ll also find that all of our fine white wines are now available to enjoy by the glass, including a more off-the-beaten track fine white from South Africa, made from the Chenin Blanc grape.

By the time spring comes, we tend to think of lighter reds – if that’s your style, you’ll really enjoy the medium-bodied but vibrant Bonarda from Mendoza in Argentina – something for Malbec-lovers to enjoy in spring, perhaps. If you’re a die-hard rich red wine drinker, then try our new opulent, suave Argentinean Malbec or our gorgeous organic Nero d’Avola from Sicily. And perhaps my favourite of all – the 2013 Estate Red from outstanding South African estate Keermont Vineyards.

Spring and summer wouldn’t be complete without rosé, of course, and our old favourites still hold pride of place, particularly our two from Provence, the delicately scented Grand Cros and the iconic Whispering Angel. To finish, here are my top pairings from the new menu.

Spring Jungle Afternoon Tea

Dalloway Terrace will fully transport guests to the tropics with their new seasonal Afternoon Tea, laced with Sri Lankan influences.

The all-new Afternoon Tea offering, created by Head Pastry Chef Chris Dodd, adds tropical fruits and spices to classic dishes. The sweets menu includes Mango & Coriander Tart with Pink Peppercorn Meringue, Lychee & Coconut Cake and Pineapple & Red Chilli Terrine. Tropical Cocktails

The arrival of spring and warmer weather in the capital means it’s time for Dalloway Terrace to sport a new outfit, and together with it, a new Cocktail list!

Just in time for the sunshine the new season brings, Dalloway Terrace launched an exclusive list of botanical cocktails inspired by the flavours of Sri Lanka. The list include ingredients such as Ceylon Arrack, a Sri Lankan liquor naturally distilled from the coconut flowers, as well as Sri Lankan Black Tea and exotic fruits and spices.

Highlights of the new cocktail list include Ceylon Punch, created with Mango-Infused Ceylon Arrack, Ceylon Black Tea, Citrus Shrub, Coconut Water; Jungle Old Fashioned, a fiery blend of Ron de Jeremy Spiced Rum, Ginger, Falernum, Orange Bitters; and Tropical Negroni, a delicious twist on a classic made with Mór Pineapple Gin, Belsazar Dry, Cinnamon Tincture, Pink Grapefruit & Kumquat Shrub, Amaro Montenegro.

Dalloway Terrace's Spring Jungle

Taking inspiration from The Bloomsbury Set’s Leonard Woolf’s novel ‘The Village in the Jungle’, Dalloway Terrace has once again been transformed, this time into a tropical paradise adorned with the unique flora of Sri Lanka.

The idyllic space is now a wild jungle oasis in the capital, the perfect place to escape the streets of central London. The transformation features silk foliage stems creating a luscious overgrown jungle canopy, complete with an abundance of the giant iconic leaves of the banana plant and lavishly adorned with bright bursts of fuchsia provided by mesmerizing orchids and passion flower.

#WinterAtDalloway is back!

The most wonderful time of the year is upon us; when the highly anticipated ‘Winter At Dalloway’ returns. The most sought after spot of the season, described as ‘One of London’s most Instagrammable restaurants’ by the Evening Standard, has transformed into an icy haven of crystallised white, pink and silver petals. Bloomsbury’s enchanting hideaway, Dalloway Terrace, completes its frosty festive transformation with Truffle Cheese Fondue, Warming Cocktails and a new seasonal menu of decadent winter delights.

Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart has once again transformed Dalloway Terrace into a winter wonderland in time for the festive period. The new installation features an abundance of champagne coloured frosted foliage, such as leather leaf, gogo, eucalyptus and magnolia. Natural lichen also adorns the ceiling and walls, with additional metallic silver and pink leaf and icy white magnolia included to keep the frozen space cosy, creating an enchantingly chilled hideaway in the middle of the city.

Autumn Afternoon Tea

Dalloway Terrace's Head Pastry Chef and Afternoon Tea of the Year Finalist, Chris Dodd, has created a new autumnal Afternoon Tea menu, celebrating the Apple.
The fresh, crisp and sweet flavours of five delicious varieties of apple have been incorporated into the different aspects of the Afternoon Tea to encapsulate the best of the British autumn.

Highlights of the Tea (£40 per person) include Spiced Apple Cake with Cinnamon Glaze and Granny Smith and Whisky Mousse with Milk Chocolate Ganache alongside Golden Raisin Scones served with Clotted Cream and Jersey Black Apple Butter.

an enchanting woodland of cascading amber leaves created by London florists Wild at Heart.

The stunning terrace - described by the Evening Standard as “One of London’s most Instagrammable restaurants”- boasts a canopy of preserved autumnal leaves in rich oranges and burnt reds.
Branches of beautiful soft yellow and rich red maple leaves and clusters of tumbling berries offer guests a cosy shelter from the colder weather. Hope you will like it as much as we do!

the French elderflower liqueur lovingly referred to as ‘Parisian Life in a Bottle’.

Dalloway Terrace will be transformed by London Florists June in March and transport guests to the idyllic surroundings of the picturesque countryside in the south of France.
With a cascading canopy of over 1,000 dried flowers, the venue ensures to capture the wildness of the nature in the installation.

Alongside the floral oasis, Dalloway Terrace will also be embracing the summer season with a new cocktail menu in partnership with St-Germain; an afternoon tea menu with influences of elderflower throughout and a new seasonal menu bursting with fresh flavors. Canada Day lululemon Yoga & Crystal Head Brunch at The Coral Room

In celebration of Canada Day on Sunday 1st July The Coral Room will be hosting an exciting Canadian-inspired event.

Starting at 9am with a relaxing yoga session with Canadian brand lululemon's ambassador, Katie Silver, expert yogis and newcomers alike are invited to kick start their Sunday morning with a rejuvenating yet relaxing yoga class.

After the ‘detox’ follows the ‘retox’, with a Bloody Caesar Masterclass hosted by The Coral Room’s General Manger Giovanni Spezziga in collaboration with Crystal Head Vodka. Spezziga will be sharing his expertise to help guests create the popular Canadian version of the classic morning tipple, The Bloody Mary - where tomato juice is replaced with calamato juice creating the perfect Caesar mix.

The masterclass will be followed by a delicious brunch, where guests will be treated to freshly baked pastries, fruit bowls, buttermilk pancakes served with Canadian maple syrup and blueberries, whilst listening to Canadian born DJ Sam Frankl, who will be entertaining guests until 3pm.

Mrs Dalloway's Afternoon Tea

In honor of Dalloway Day, celebrated this year on Wednesday 20th June, our Head Pastry Chef Chris Dodd created an exclusive Afternoon Tea inspired by The Bloomsbury Set and their eccentric lifestyle. Every dish is, in one way or another, connected to a key figure in Virginia Woolf's life,
and we'd like to think she would truly enjoy this meal.

Mrs Dalloway’s Afternoon Tea will only be available from the 18th to the 24th June, and all its recipes have been adapted from Jans Ondaatje Rolls’ book ‘The Bloomsbury Cookbook’.

Our Sustainability Promise

Here at Dalloway Terrace we are dedicated to being environmentally responsible, and are constantly looking for ways to improve our sustainability.

After becoming more aware of the disastrous impact that plastic waste has on our oceans and wildlife, our most recent commitment has been to ditch plastic straws and replace them with recyclable paper straws. In a push to reduce waste, we also recycle all of our menus after use and any other paper used. This is just the beginning of our journey to becoming a more environmentally friendly restaurant.

Mira Manek x Dalloway Terrace Supper Club

Dalloway Terrace has teamed up with Mira Manek to create a one-off Supper Club event to celebrate the Bloomsbury Festival and the 70th anniversary of the Indian Independence on Thursday 19th October.

Throughout the evening you will experience a number of delicious signature dishes, and be able to purchase a copy of her book Saffron Soul.

Silent Pool Cocktail Specials

Dalloway Terrace is delighted to launch a month-long partnership with Silent Pool Distillery, with whom we created five exceptional gin-based cocktails.

At the beginning of summer, the team were lucky enough to visit the Silent Pool distillery near Guildford for a magical tour lead by India, the Brand Ambassador. On the tour, the team learned all about the 24 unique botanical used to craft the romantic and complex flavour which characterizes Silent Pool Gin.
